This segment, a continuation of the paper studying
the role of medical social service in a TB Sanatorium (see previous
summary for details), focuses on the economic aspects pertaining
to TB patients. Representative case situations highlight the financial
burden faced by TB patients and, indicate how two families solved
their financial problems in different ways. The need for various
community agencies to take responsibility in minimizing the impact
of TB on children is also discussed in detail.
